Reached a Goal

In June of 2016 my hubby fall and broke his neck. He was in the hospital and care homes for 7 months. I was under a lot of stress and turned to a old stand by of comfort foods, fast food.
I came and visited my hubby every day. It was a long bus trip and one care home I had to take two busses. I was in neighborhoods I was not use to but could always find fast food.
On the morning hubby fall I had lost 41 pounds with the help of my Spark team mates. I was on a go and very happy. Need I say I was sad when hubby fall. He had become a quadriplegic.
I turned to fast food and junk food. I had gone from 169 lb to 184 lb, with eating bad and binges. I turned this around with fasting for a few months and now eating low carb.
I had set a goal of reaching 169 lb again and today the scale was my friend and read 169 lb. Woohoo!!!!
I have made a new goal with my nutritionist to lose 6 pounds by July 11th. I am pretty sure I can do it. I am eating healthier. I just moved and have a new frig with the a crisper drawer right in the top of the frig. I see it first thing when I open the frig. I have stocked it with cut up veg in zip lock bags. I have fresh berries right next to it. And spinach and lettuce on hand so I can in a jeffy make a salad. I love salads. I have peel and eat shrimp to boil up for a quick meal. I have chicken breast tenderloins in a bag in the freezer that I could can go right on grill for a quick chicken dinner. Every now and than I treat myself to a steak. So you see I am eating healthier.
I love to walk and walk for at least 30 minutes 5x a week. It is the way I get around as we prefer not to have a car with parking hard to find in our down town neighborhood.
I was very happy to see the scale say 169 lb today. My tracker looks great. I will reset it next week. I just want to bask in today's glory for a day or so.
