Trash calories

I love to sabotage myself. 😝 I had 1880 calories, about 300-400 more than I need. It's all self control and planning problems. I can do better. My worst time is from around 8 pm to midnight. I want to snack. I just have to plan better. I know I'm allowing myself too many junk calories. My body isn't properly fueled, and I'm not doing myself any favors by giving into a junk food addiction. Goal today: zero junk calories.

    I'm a late night snacker too. To keep from sabotaging myself, I have a few tricks. One, I tend to reach for easy stuff when I snack so I make sure to keep the fridge and pantry stocked with healthy snacks that I can grab and go. Things like hummus with cut veggies, nuts, string cheese, etc. I even keep a few weight watchers desserts on hand in case I have a sweet tooth. Two, it's easy to fall into the trap of mindlessly snacking all evening so I have a rule that once I eat something, I have to wait 30 minutes before I can have something else. Usually by the time 30 minutes has passed, the urge has passed. Last but not least, I put all snack food into my food log before I eat them. That way I have a visible reminder of how close I'm getting to my calorie limit or if something is going to put me over.
