This is how I woke up around 6 this morning! I must have turned over in bed without knowing I was sleeping right on the edge with my back towards the edge. I went flying onto the floor and hit my head and right side of my body on the hard bed frame. Ouchie, that hurt! I also was wedged between my bed and the wall. My daughter had slept over last night on my living room couch and as I called out for her, she came running into my room and found me like that, stuck on the floor!
I'm no slim Sally and knew it would be difficult for my daughter to pull me up, so I somehow pulled and pushed myself around to the other side of the bed where there is plenty of room. I struggled and managed to get on my knees so my daughter grabbed both of my hands and pulled! Up I came and groaned loudly! The damage was a slight 'knob' on the back of my head that was throbbing, a bruised hip and arm and my pride was knocked out a bit too.
Sue got me to living room, sat me in my recliner, brought me water and Tylenol and waited patiently till my head stopped hurting. But I wasn't myself all morning.
Sadly, my daughter had to go home around 1, so I dressed and went downstairs to wait with her, for her friend to come pick her up. We sat outside and it felt like it was 90 F, really too hot, too fast, but oh it felt good!
I've rested the rest of today and now feel pretty good, I just have some bruises to show for my rude awakening early this morning!
Wow, did we have a wonderful supper last night that Sue brought over, some cabbage rolls, coleslaw, schnitzel and some kind of meat on a stick! What a nice change and a super meal to have together on this holiday weekend. I especially loved the cabbage rolls and coleslaw!
As always, I gave thanks for having been given the privilege of waking up today and so grateful to have the family I have! And this morning's fall out of bed and the difficulty for my daughter to pull me up off the floor only renewed my vow to get this extra weight off my body!!!
"ENJOY YOUR SUNDAY!"
