I can't believe a week has passed since I was last here. It has been a busy week. I had two meetings, my ACTS team, and St. Vincent de Paul meeting. My Knight's Insurance agent and have become very close as we both have young sons have severe disease. His son was 29 and had been fight brain tumors for the last three years. They thought he had beaten if as he was cancer free for almost a year but 6 weeks ago it came back and he died last week. This was very hard to take. It was a very hard wake to go to. Then a member from my ACTS group was in South Carolina and they were in a serious car accident and he died last weekend. We had his funeral Mass Friday night. Then yesterday, Brad and family came to St. Louis as she had a family wedding here. We had the grand kids for about 3 hours last night. It was so fun, we met up today for lunch and they had to leave. He took the trip well, and looks good. I was so glad he decided to have lunch at Chris's restaurant so he and Chris could talk. We saw tears in Chris's eyes when they hugged. We are going up on the weekend of June 8th for Emerson's birthday, and I would really like for him to take off that weekend so that he can go and spend time with is brother. I have another busy weekend. Tuesday is my colonoscopy and tomorrow is my prep day. We went to visit a friend of ours at a local rehab center and I was heading down the hall and fell face forward in the hall. My left knee hurts a lot tonight, But don't believe that anything is broke. Margaret is mad that I didn't go to the emergency room and get an xray, but I had too much to do today to waste the day in the ER. So I didn't get the grass cut and we have had so much rain that I look like I have a prairie going on. Maybe Tuesday after the colonoscopy or Wednesday if the rain allows I will get it cut. I guess that wraps up my exciting week this week. Too many life situations to make one think about mortality and life. But I guess that is all part of growing older. Hopefully it won't take me a week to be back.

Oh how wonderful you got to be with the grans for a few hours. We also had company this weekend, S2 and wife was here, but they have so many to visit over a weekend, we are mostly just a free motels room and a little visiting in-between their comings and goings.

Glad you got some time with Brad and your grandchildren. Also, the fact that Chris and Brad got to see each other. What ever is between them, should be put aside because in the end it really doesn't matter. Life is too short to let things come between family.

So sorry to read about all your losses. I pray that God puts his arms around you and your family and gives you strength to overcome all of this and for comfort at these times.

Falls are the bane of my existence. Glad it wasn't serious. Although at our age, they can very easily be. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friends.

Take care of yourself. Sometimes we have to bite the bullet and ask for help—we can only do so much. I know it is a male thing as I saw it with my husband and my daddy. emoticon
