I woke up this a.m. (always a good thing), laying there with my german shepherd, just chilling thought....wow, it's Monday. I know for most of you Monday is something of a little less than a cursed, the start of another work week. I am retired as many of you know, not bragging....well maybe a little. I worked as an RN prior to retirement and Monday never held that ominous feeling because I worked 3 12 hour shifts a week, and they varied. I live just outside of Chicago, so weekends have never been a great hooray. There's always way more people out and about. I am a bit of a recluse so, I do my shopping and getting out during the week when most people are at work, no crowds. All that being said, I was a little shocked that I actually acknowledged it is Monday (thankful at this age I remember, LOL) and began spinning what my day should look like. Gym? Garden Center? Walk the dog? Bike ride? A lot of options. I have been in sort of bad spiral lately and there's a little weight gain so choices need to be framed within that context. I started my day on a good roll, with a great plan, now to hold myself to it. Every day, EVERY DAY, is a chance to change, correct the things we don't like or don't want to tolerate anymore. I don't want to tolerate this increasing weight and lethargy from the sun not showing up. I am going with the change! Bye~~~heading to the gym!
