We're now in our new home and we love it. It's so peaceful, the neighbours are friendly and the renovations have started. True to any renovations attempt there have been snags. Wrong cabinets were delivered so I have part of a kitchen, wrong dishwasher was delivered. Nothing that can't be fixed. The bathroom is proving to be a bit challenging, we took out a wall so now we get to flash the neighbours on two sides when we step out of the shower. We've taken to showering in the dark for now to solve that issue. We'll be about a week before the dry walling can be done, who said life wasn't an adventure.
This morning is my first day alone and I love it. I headed out the door at 4:30 to go for a run though the complex and down along the river. The only sounds were the birds and running creeks. I got up in the dark, it's been so long since I did a pre-dawn run, it was wonderful. The mobile home park is quite large, if I wanted I could easily run 5K without leaving the grounds but I am always drawn to the trails so I ran across the street to the river. It was so peaceful, so calm. I found several paths and a great place to launch the canoe my son is giving me. I'd like to get a kayak as well for solo outings.
This move gave us back so much. It's given us our financial freedom that we never dreamed of having. It's given us back the opportunity to reduce stress and focus on our healthy lifestyle we were enjoying before life got so hectic. The fridge is filled with healthy foods again, meal planning can be properly done and we both sleep well at night. This morning I woke up at 3, Jeff asked if I was stressed about something.
"No, I just am excited to start the day, I want to run!"
I've ordered a new Garmin, I really missed my old one when it broke. So much excitement.
