Once Upon A Time...one rebound challenge down

Tuesday, May 21, 2019

Hi, Friends!
Well, I completed my first rebounding challenge. I rebounded 50 minutes at a time, M-F, except for a very few days when I was unwell.
I worked-out while watching the whole series of Bionic Woman...three seasons.
And that equaled 3,200 rebounding fitness minutes (from Feb-May).

For a treat, I splurged on the complete series of Charlie's Angels, another nostalgic show from my teen years. lol. This one has FIVE seasons.

I've got muscles like crazy, but the number on the scale keeps struggling as I go through the menopause changes and as I healed from a 'minor' fall, that is giving me issues with one arm still. I am also struggling with retaining water and trying to solve that problem.
When I'm swelled, I'm around 255, just five pounds lower from my beginning date. Hubby says he guarantees that carbs are my problem. He also suggests cutting out sugar. I really don't eat all that much, so it kinda makes me mad. But it is what it is.

Hubby has lost 27 pounds! He works so hard at his job that he can't keep up with his calorie range. He's walking thousands and thousands of steps and taking the stairs many times each day. He's doing so well, he might be able to get off his diabetic meds. That'd be cool.

My son, J21, lost about the same as his dad, while training to join the Marines. He made his initial goal on Friday by 1/2 pound and passed all his tests and was officially sworn in. He's so proud. All his sergeants were hugging him and congratulating him for how hard he worked to get this far. He'd been training for 5 months and they are impressed with his commitment.

He is scheduled to leave for Boot Camp at the end of October.

My son, P19, left for Boot Camp a few weeks ago and made it safely to base. Now we can start writing letters of encouragement. He should do very well.

So we currently have a Marine Corporal, a Recruit, and a Pulley in our family. haha. The Corporal should make Sergeant very soon.

This family is GROWING UP!

Our youngest child turned 13 this past week. New Stage for Mother Susanski!

Okay, gotta run and get my work-out in!

Have a great week!

Okay, I'm going to have to say that I suspect hubby is onto something with the carbs. Certain carbs and too many carbs caused huge inflammatory and water retention issues for me.

Oh my goodness! The youngest is a teenager? How did that happen?! Never mind. Don't tell me … emoticon

Your family is growing up. You've done such great work with the rebounding. So exciting to hear that your dear hubby may be able to get off the diabetes meds. That's awesome!

Thanks for sharing the family news. And, hope your arm feels better soon.
