My dentist, for the past couple of years, is a young woman. Her husband is a runner. So conversation usually is about his latest run or woes. He just ran the Lincoln Marathon with a broken toe. He broke it a week out, told the podiatrist he really wanted to run the race, he had trained so hard. The podiatrist gave him leave, with the precaution to drop out at the half if it hurt. He did not stop, but went on to finish with a personal best 3 hours and 20 minutes. Clearly my dentist was very proud of her hubby, and I rejoice in every person's success in reaching personal goals!
Teeth are doing well, gums are doing well, the fillings and crown are sitting as they should, and I'm all clean, shiny, polished to go on with life.
Today, we have sunshine! Always a cheer-bringer!
Afternoon appointment to walk with ALICIA363, and it's good that this is today, as the rest of the week every day has rain in the forecast.
After the success of Grandma's puppy day care on Monday, son and I have agreed that we'll do this every day he has to be in the office. Most of the time, that's one day a week, on Mondays, so it fits with my Tuesday - Thursday workout schedule and Wednesday walk schedule. I'm looking forward to this addition to my routine. One day a week having a dog is about right, I'm thinking.
Here's hoping my Spark buds are out there making the best decisions you can, whatever step of the journey you are on, this Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Because it is the only one we'll ever get, and because we are each and every one of us worth the effort.
Only one rule: never give up.
