Busy Days Ahead

Wednesday, May 22, 2019

All the X-rays were taken on Friday. Had there been something to worry about, I felt sure we would get a call. Then we had the long weekend so I was surprised to get a call from the doctor’s office yesterday. Imagine , clear lungs, clear bronchial tubes, zero arthritis or degeneration in my knee. Very unusual apparently, but no answers for the stiffness. I did go to the Zumba Tone class, more for the group experience than the instruction. There are special Zumba weights, one pound or so but we did the class with regular 3 pounders. Endless reps, some at an angle that I would avoid and then the mats. Start with mats, stretch a cold body , then use the wrong weights, and ... what am I doing here (?) crossed my mind. There is a new instructor on the roster any luck she will understand form, posture, balance and stick around for questions from participants. Now to find time to try it out. I hope you have better luck with your instructors. We are busily preparing for the Montreal trip, two huge parties on my husband’s side then a reunion with my sister and brother, and then, a road trip through Vermont, New Hampshire, and a few days in Maine. We stay at an off beat motel on Route 1. It is old, kind of shabby , though the owners have made many changes, snd is set back from the road. It actually qualifies as a resort. Pool, tennis, horseshoes, pétanque, grills for guests with lobster pots, and a rec room for when it rains . And it will !!! It is a special place for us. The town is so pretty, an art colony and fishing village. We know many people there after so many years of summer visits. The beach is wide, untouched, no concessions and ifeal for walking. Fresh sea air, some foggy mornings, and a time out after the Montreal madness. Off to tackle my pre packing routine. That means laundry. Not an exciting day but it really is kind of fun getting ready to go. .
