And, Scream I did ...

A little over a week ago I blogged: Wanna Scream
… and, scream I did. Into pillows, mind you. No need for pounding the pillows. Screaming into them was enough to move the emotion before heading out for the appointment with the primary care physician (PCP).
That appointment went unexpectedly well. I have been referred to yet another specialist. This specialist is outside of our service area. He and I will be chatting by telephone on Friday.
The conversation with the sleep doctor was tense. Orders for the upcoming sleep study have been changed and will probe the challenges that emerged during the first overnight study. I have been advised that a third overnight sleep study may follow. The second overnight sleep study was initially scheduled for late June. It has been moved up to end of May. So, the first and second overnight sleep studies will bookend the month and by month's end I will have completed the third sleep study. A fourth may follow.
At this point, movement is occurring on five separate fronts. Really? Thinking about it as I type … Yes. Five different fronts.
Two previously explored avenues have amounted to dead ends. The PCP continues to direct traffic on three fronts. Two of the current fronts are occurring outside our health care provider.
The nutritionist has been my saving grace. She and I had a good conversation last week. It is clear that her health knowledge extends beyond her professional licensing and certifications. So, so grateful to have her support!
Thank you all for the care expressed in response to last week's blog.
And, I can almost hear dear ol' dad saying, "Chin up, my dear. Chin up!"
