Reboot - Version 2.1 5/22/19

Weigh-in Weds: 2 lb gain, but probably not as bad as it should have been. Still a 3 lb net loss for this reboot and 14 lbs down from my highest ever weight. As I mentioned yesterday, I struggled during this 2nd week and was fearing another unsuccessful attempt was in the making. I just couldn’t understand what kept going wrong. I’m a reasonably intelligent person who actually has quite a bit of knowledge and training in the exercise and nutrition field — it shouldn’t be this hard! But fate intervened last night in the form of an article on my Sparkpage about accountability, and 2 more today — one from SparkPeople about commitment and another from Livestrong on strategies for sticking with it. Plus, I got to have a long chat with my “big sis” aunt who gave me more ideas and some, um, “personalized insight” into some of my personality traits that may be hindering my progress. All in all, feeling much more capable today. Eating was much better, too. I think I’ve weathered this crisis without too much damage done. Now, back to work!
