"Reflect on what makes you feel really valued and appreciated"


Today I had a wonderful short video message from my son, where my grandson was saying my name; knowing that he knows who I am makes me feel valued and appreciated.

I spent the day with two friends - knowing that I have friends who want to spend time with me makes me feel valued and appreciated.

When my manager thanks me for replying to his messages or for carrying something out efficiently - that makes me feel valued and appreciated.

When I feed myself with nutritious food, and get enough exercise and enough sleep - that's when I know I am valuing and appreciating myself!

And when push comes to shove - valuing and appreciating myself is where feeling valued and appreciated stems from. If I don't value and appreciate myself, then other people's words of thanks or appreciation fall on deaf ears.

I don't always feel valued and appreciated - but I'm in a good place at the moment, and I do feel it.

I do think that if I'm not feeling valued and appreciated I need to examine what self-talk I'm hearing.
