My Journey to find me again.

Thursday, May 23, 2019

Well, I made the decision last night to wake up and begin my journey to a healthier me. I made it through work today without drinking Mountain Dew lol (huge step for me). I ate a lean cuisine and kept my calories to a minimum. I feel good about my first day, tired as heck but good 💗. Looking forward to testing myself tomorrow with a nice salad while the co workers have Friday pizza lol. Wish me luck!

Your new life needs some meaningful calories to sustain itself. Be sure to include some lean protein; at least 20 grams worth, with your salad to give your lunch some staying power and bring along a fruit. Finishing with a couple of Andes mints melted on your tongue will make things feel like you were the one who had the treat on Friday. Andes mints are 50 calories for a serving of two. I unwrap mine very slowly and savor them to the max one at a time. Congratulations on stepping away from the Mountain Dew. That really was a huge step! Welcome to SparkPeople! emoticon

Good start! And good thinking to have a plan for substituting your usual pizza. But try to work in a small trat, too....so you don't end up feeling deprived ant resentful.

Make your own pizza. Cauliflower crust or use a high fiber tortilla, measure your sauce and low fat cheese add your favorite veggies. It’s possible to make a tasty low cal pizza!! Enjoy!!

Maybe your salad will do but I'd bring something just as delicious and still healthy. Perhaps a no cheese, no meat, veggie pizza? Best wishes.
