First graders - 90 of them!

This was the loom house pre-kids. I had been told there would be 20-24 kids in each group so I moved display tables and had the woven blanket full out, not folded in half as for a previous group. It gave the kids good boundaries as to where they should sit and kept them contained.
I have learned that if I meet the kids at the door and give them bits of fleece they are more focused and quieter while we are talking together. Their hands are doing something so they can pay attention better.
Here are two of the groups of the day.
I asked them to hold up their bits of fleece. One group had a lot of questions right at the beginning so I had to cut some other things in my talk. Questions from the kids are always better than me talking and showing things.
There were a lot of parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles along. I think they had as much fun as the kids.
In the afternoon there were several smaller groups that visited. Very full day and it was very sunny and nice. We have had two days of sun. Now we are to get three days of rain!
