Vision Statement

What do I want my life to look like in June 2020? Age 38, kids 11,9,3,2
Next june I want to be getting up with energy, the house will be organised, the kids in a routine with homework and one-on-one time. The dogs will be well behaved and a pleasure to walk. I'll be super organised at work and have a job to go into once training has finished. I'll be wearing clothes confidently, able to look in a mirror and taking care of myself. I'll try something new once a month either with friends, family or by myself. I'll be happy in my own company and relaxed around others.
A perfect work day, up a couple of hours before, write in diary and meditate, take dogs out for a run/bike ride, get kids up, 30 minute tidying while they get dressed, all eat a healthy interesting breakfast and practice gratitude, laughter. Go to work, I'm confident in my training and enjoy the jobs, work hard and smart at work so I only need to bring some work home with me. Get home to pick kids up, have time for a game up the park with the kids and the dogs in warm weather or a bike ride in cold. All sit down for a healthy nutritious meal together, quick tidy, then bedtime routine including 1 on 1 time for all kids. Work for a couple of hours, practice kung fu routines, bed. 6hrs sleep a night.

What do I want my life to look like in June 2024? Age 42 kids 15,13, 7,6

I'll be debt free and ready to start the next adventure, promotion at work and business brining in income for investments, holidays and peace of mind. Weekends will be intentionally relaxing or full of adventure. The kids will be healthy and happy and I will have a good social network and the confidence to make new friends.
What would my ideal day look like? Why would I jump out of bed in the morning, what would I do first? Who would I be spend time with, the good experiences I would have, how I would deal with challenges?

A perfect weekend - Saturday, up, quick tidy, walk with dogs, kung fu coaching, lunch with mum, meet up with friends in afternoon, walk dogs, once a month out with friends (comedy club/ band / dinner) Sunday, relaxed morning, dog walk, family day - adventure / relaxed / family / friends - trampoline, canoe, rock climbing, park, national trust, English heritage, movie day, games day, beach. Tidy, get ready for week, meal plans, 2 hours TV.

What personal values does my daily life reflect?
Security, love, gratitude, exploration, family.

Goal One - first 10%
Specific - I will be 150lbs on the 10th of October 2019, I will reduce my sugar intake, stay within calorie goals, increase vegetables and learn beginners 2, train with the kids twice a week, (Tuesday and sunday), increase dog walks and intensity (bike rides, jogging, distance)
Measurable - Scales, track exercise goals, sugar and vegetables.
Achievable - I have the tools, spark people, money to buy food, control of menu's, budget meal plans, opportunities to increase exercise.
Realistic - Need to get a handle on emotional eating and binge eating, Paul McKenna hairy chocolate, diary, meditation, gratitude, routine. Strategy's for emotional stressors (ex-partners) when wrestling with the baby - read more articles. But all within reach.
Time frame - 2lbs a week is attainable in the first instance, nothing is coming up that should affect the time frame, possible operation, so may need to take extra care.
Feeling - Hopeful

Next steps, plan goal 2 after reaching goal 1

If you are interested there is a challenge I partake in called 2019 Summer 5% Challenge. The challenge is to lose 5% of your weight. The leaders are great, and they have a lot of good ideas on how to lose, plus info on foods etc. I'm on the Weight Warriors, but you can join any team. I like your goals. emoticon
