Yes, I do KNOW when I'm just about full!!

Last night after work I had some cashews and then heated up a bowlful of my supper soup (chicken minestrone) with a few organic vegan whole grain crackers. A piece of 2 year old cheddar cheese.

And: about 2/3 of the way through the bowl, with 5-6 crackers left, I knew I was approaching fullness.

The principles of intuitive eating promise me that this is an unmistakeable signal if I'm paying attention. And yes: it was.

I pushed my bowl away and waited a minute. Had another bite of cheese.

Stopped eating.

Sipped on my glass of ice water.

Enough. Done. Did not want any berries, did not even want my usual square of 90% chocolate.

But: I did wake up this morning with more appetite than usual. Made an egg white omelette with spinach, mushroom, cherry tomatoes and low fat goat cheese. Delish!!

Fuelled me through my morning exercise routine and stretches too . . .

Feeling ready for a good day. Although I may not be able to repeat yesterday's recess walk if the anticipated soaking rain happens!!
