Life is Complicated...

Friday, June 14, 2019

It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed. - Ram Dass

Sometimes that path is a little bumpy and all windy through the dark forest. Just keep going, I guess.

Ram Dass died in Dec. at age 88. He found out in 2009 through DNA testing that he had a 56 yo son. Story was when he was at Stanford in 1956 he had a brief encounter with a young female student who was going back to her boyfriend after graduation. When she returned, she realized she was pg and said she thought she was pg by Richard, but the bf said they'd get married and raise the child as their own. They had another son, who later heard the rumor that the older brother was really the son of "Ram Dass". He was the one who contacted RD and said "I think you are the father of my older brother."
RD was known to be bisexual, and he preferred men, so he had never wanted to father children. He certainly lived an interesting life.

Well, I dunno -- this is true but (it seems to me) simultaneously also true that at any moment a miracle may happen, particularly if I just happen to be noticing!!
