2019 Summer 5% Challenge...ACCEPTED
!

Monday, June 17, 2019

I've been back on sparks for a few days shy of 1 month now, and I'm just hitting my stride. I'm seeing losses on the scale every week, some larger than others, eating right is starting to be 2nd nature again, it is rare that you find me drinking anything other than water, and equally rare to find me without a tumbler of it within reach. I feel better than I have in months and am ready to kick things up a notch.

What better time to join the 2019 Summer 5%Challenge?

I'm not sure of the exact start date, but I am READY! I have taken part in these challenges before, gotten lots of motivation, and had great results, so I know this can be very helpful to my goals.

That said...if you are considering joining, a word of caution. Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. After successfully completing 2 or 3 challenges, I hit some kind of a wall during the next one, and I could NOT seem to make myself do right. I let down my team, and while they tried to be supportive at first, in the end they (lovingly) asked me to choose a different team for the next challenge. It hurt at a time that I was already hurting, and was a tough thing for me to get over. I guess in truth I am still not completely over it. I understand it, I wasn't participating at the level I needed to be, but it was the closest thing to rejection I've ever experienced in all my years on the SparkPeople site...the very core of which is acceptance and motivation.

Thankfully there are LOTS of teams, and I have asked to join one that another sparkfriend has been a part of on past challenges. I hope they will accept me and I know that I will be an asset to them if they do because I am ready to rock this thing!

If you're ready...and I mean really ready...come join me!

Man Amy! I am so sorry that happened to you. emoticon I sure hope you find a much better team this time.
I have never joined those challenges, but I am more of a loner in my fitness, I like to plan for myself and do what I want, and when I want. I do love to cheer my friends on and I will keep cheering for you.
Good luck sweet friend. emoticon emoticon emoticon
