My elder child took me to lunch today.
I ate. We talked. We had a good time and caught up without children.

I pick my younger daughter up at the train station shortly for the last time. After tomorrow she will regain her license and drive away in her new car! Good luck in finding a parking spot where she lives, the reason she let her license lapse. It's so convenient to take mass transit in NYC.
Oh well, my Mom taxi is still available to the next generation!
"Nana" taxi!

Lunch with a female (a relative no less) is always a win. I’d even buy lunch for my sons...waaaaay easier said than done. Sigh. Nana’s Taxi service for the win...it’s amazing what one learns during the course of a car ride.
Regroup day for me today...punching that reset button. No sunshine here today, will try beaming some of my own.

    Lucky you!
I treasure that rare occurrence with any of my three adult kids.

It's obvious to me that you are spoiled. I'm okay at math and calculated that you have 2 daughters. I think you need a boy and would like to trade you my self-absorbed son, typical male, for one of your girls as I like lunch and no one is ever going to buy me any. Warning - In order to be fair I need to disclose that he knows it all and can eat a side of beef, a whole hog, or 20 chickens with feathers at one sitting plus sides and desserts, But you will only have to put up with him on solar eclipses that occur in your vicinity. I think he would be very pleased and would consider you an upgrade over his stupid mom. I assume you, on the other hand, would want to kill me but lunch with an adult female sounds worth the risk. Let me know.

It's so wonderful to have adult children and catch up! You've done this stint, but no doubt there will be more "mom of adult children" gigs in the future. You never know what they will need next, but they're still your kids and you will always be mom!
