Short and sweet and some critter photos

Yesterday's lunch with DD1 was fun. In the middle of the meal about 200 cell phones went off in the restaurant with emergency alerts for the flood warnings of our latest batch of rain. Funny how a place full of strangers suddenly became a community. Luckily the area we were in didn't need the warning. One of my main drives is over the historical Delaware-Raritan Canal and each roadway has electric signs and some gates for the flooding. Routine for us.
DD2 drove away this morning with her new car, her newly acquired drivers license and her parking permit! This was the final cord-cutting ceremony as I'm off the hook for transportation! She swears they'll still come to visit because now they can throw their laundry in the car and come down for a swim or dinner while they wash clothes!
Here are two critters the rain brought out at DD2's house yesterday.
One of two who are living in the mulch in her planter.
This little guy was only 2 inches long trying to find dry land on the driveway.
The boys were disinterested in the slug and disappointed the snake slithered away before they came home!
