AC Went OUT!!

For two miserable days we had no AC. We had a small AC unit in the basement, so the kids stayed down there most of the day with the dogs so that nobody but me got overheated. It wasn't too bad at first, there was a cooling rain that made the first night good. But I got sick somehow, and ended up spending most of yesterday in bed, and by later in the afternoon the sun came back out and it stopped raining. Man did it get muggy and hot. The AC guys finally came around dinner time. It was a simple fix, thank goodness!! AC is back up and running, and I'm feeling a bit better, I think that having the windows open had me exposed to the pollen that is in the air, and that it is just allergies that I'm dealing with. I sure hope so.
The plan is to spend the morning doing my last day of my 5 day challenge for the book I'm reading (that I would have done 2 days ago if not for the AC), then do the worksheet, then finally watch the live event I missed on Tuesday night. Thank goodness it was sent in an email for those of us who signed up for it but missed it!! I was so sad when I realized I missed it. I never sign up for the free webinars because I'm afraid I won't have time, will forget, or get interrupted. But this one I really wanted to listen to! Super happy I get to this morning!!
My new Paleo book came in! I have several free with Kindle ones I downloaded that I need to read, but the paperback book I got is South Korean Paleo. Yum. Can't wait to dive into it and pick out some recipes to try!!! I have not been doing well with paleo this week, but then for the past two days we have not been able to use the oven, too worried about heating up the house with it. So, today roasting a chicken (my ODD will be doing it with my supervision, it will be her first time cooking a big meal for the family!!) and then roasting some asparagus to go with it. Yum. YDD is going to make some rye bread, her idea, but she still has not read the recipe, and I told her that is the first step to making any recipe, not just reading the ingredient list, but the whole recipe.
I plan on getting and STAYING on track, starting today. I don't know how much my weight has gone up, but I know it has. I've been eating more. Not good. It is like I'm constantly hungry. So, I'm going to stay on SP a bit longer than my allotted time today and read inspirational/motivational stories and look up ideas for what to do. I know toting my water around with me (I usually do) and drinking more water will help. I've been super craving sweets and after finally thinking about it, I think I'm probably just dehydrated. So, sticking with just my meals, eating my meals on time and the proper portions, and drinking lots of water in between meals. And staying Paleo!!
If I'm still feeling okay, going to get in some mild cardio today as well as a good stretch. I feel like I've been beat up and my muscles are all tense. My legs/hips were already like that, but now the rest of me is too. I'm going to try to add a short stretching routine to my before bed routine each night as well.
Lots to do, so I'm off!!
