C25K - Day 1

Set my alarm for 7:45 am, but woke up at 7:00 and decided to just get out of bed and go. Ate a piece of toast with peanut butter and drank 1/2 bottle of water, then went out.

So the warm up walk was fine. :) After the second 60-second run, I was swearing. Running is hard! Every time the app would beep and tell me to run, I had to tell myself, "I can do anything for 60 seconds." By the last couple of runs I added, "I've given birth 4 times, I can do this!" I wasn't sure I'd make it through the last run, but right before it started Pink's "Don't Let Me Get Me" came on, and I was pumped! Finished solid, if not fast, and got a good cool down walk in.

Stats: 1.54 miles, 30:22 minutes, 8 minutes of running on 60 second run / 90 second walk intervals. 19:44 average pace. 14 ft elevation gain.

I'm using the C25K app from Zenlabs and it wouldn't shuffle my music, which was annoying. At the end of every song I had to pull out my phone and manually turn on another song. I think I'm going to try running Amazon music in the background next time.
