So sorry things are rough for you right now. I think it really helps being here and getting those daily emails. Start reading, as time allows, and before you know it--an entire mind set change has occurred. Want faster results? Brain storm what would improve your life--get real with yourself--but write it down so you can visually see your thoughts. Next: pick the one thing from that list which you are MOST likely to succeed at and make a plan to make it happen. Follow through until you succeed. Even if that one thing as as "tiny" as being here every day. Logging in. That alone is enough to get you started viewing yourself as someone who CAN. Next, pick the next most likely thing from your list. Keep plugging away until you've accomplished all of the things you need to accomplish without the enormousness of all the tasks on your list derailing you from ever starting. Best wishes to you.

You have already gotten some good advice. For me, I found that focusing on doing better instead of some arbitrary standard. Simply put it you did zero walking yesterday, if you walk for five minutes today, you did better. If you are the whole bag of chips yesterday and leave just one handful in the bag today, you did better. It works for a lot of areas besides diet and exercise as well.

Maybe your goals are too big. Make one goal per week. Maybe make it to drink 5 cups a water a day one week then take a walk around the block the next week. Before you know it you will find that your journey is going along the right path! You can do it! emoticon

I feel you and have felt the same. The only thing that really helps is the mantra that weight is only one measure of wellness. Better eating and exercise will help your body and help you live a longer life. You are more than a number on a scale.
