I'm going to check in as I can. I'm writing this from a train with the Nordic sun still shining beautifully and green fields all around.
I was up early and it started off stressfully. with goodbyes to my family that were very rushed as I raced to catch my first train of the day.
Then, we had a long delay in Dublin, as they only have one working runway at the moment. Fortunately, the plane I was on had wifi and I was able to reschedule my connecting train in Sweden, with the help of my husband on the ground (In Ireland). So, somewhere between the North Sea and Sweden my husband and I were sending frantic e-mails, figuring out how to change my train ticket to a later one using a Swedish train service. We did it, though, which made my arrival in Sweden much more relaxing. I have to say that I can see the benefit of wifi on aeroplanes to help with situations like those.
It also meant I had about an hour at the airport to catch my breath, rather than rushing from plane to train. I enjoyed the sunshine and a lovely Swedish sandwich - prawns and eggs with mayonnaise on rye.
I have reached my steps goal for the day, but have hardly exercised, just traipsed across airports and bus stations and train stations. But, at this moment I am within my calorie range, and don't really foresee needing to eat any more today. So, I'm feeling quite proud of myself. If I can get more days looking like this one, where I am eating within my calorie range, and fewer and fewer looking like a few days ago, then I'm doing okay.
I still have one more train change before I reach my final destination, so I will have been travelling since 7am this morning and only arriving at 11pm! But, I am getting closer.
