i recently had a 3 week holiday
i decided to get away from everything including my usual eating habits
normally i was accustomed to eating 1200 to 1500 calories per day
whilst on holidays my consumption went to 1800 to 2500 calories per day
i lost significant weight during this period
it would seem that previously, i may have held back my metabolic rate by insufficient calories
the calculation in the following Sparkpeople article indicates i should normally consume up to 2400 calories a day based on my sex, weight, height and age.
i suggest you read this article and do your own calculations
i furthermore cant over-emphasise the importance of keeping a daily food and drink diary,
it is amazing how much you forget otherwise
