Just a quick update on my Sweden adventures.
There is plenty of wifi access, so I am able to keep logging into Sparkpeople. I reached my 30 day tracking streak today, which I'm really happy about. Now I really want to get focused on staying within my calorie range.
The way they serve food here is really nice. It's all vegetarian food and you serve yourself, so I can manage my portions easily. And, they don't serve any desserts or sweet treats. There is chocolate for sharing in the staff office, and I have had one or two pieces of that, but that's very manageable.
So, it means that the last two days I have been eating within my calorie range!!! (Woohooo!!!!) Being served food at certain times and without any desserts in sight is a good thing for me. So good, that my LTGL goal for our practice week is to try and not eat junk food. With the junk food (AKA sugar, for me) no where in sight, I might actually be able to do it, at least a few days of it.
Doing a lot of walking, and managed to go for a jog late last night, so apart from working really long hours, and getting little sleep, I think I am managing alright. I'm really enjoying Sweden.
I do not have access to a scale, but again, I think that's a good thing. It will force me to focus on staying within my calorie range, something I have really found difficult at home. This is the discipline I need if I want to get my weight down again.
