MENU PLANNING

Well chackling the freezer out to see what is available. It is storm season so we will eat out f the freezer and use up as much of the protein as we have in there now. This week will be chicken, shrimp and beef. I am going to make the orange chicken again. It was a hit. I personally do not like chicken except for a Popeyes hot and spicey breast occasionally. I did make an orange chicken and Hubby liked. If I can get enough other flavor on the chicken I can eat, but must don't give me a grilled or roasted breast They have no taste to me. I grew up where chicken was on the table regularly. They were raised in the yard and they had a flavor. These raised in the chicken houses do not. I am going to make a peri peri sauce and try it on a few shrimp. I also love my shrimp made in a gumbo along with the sausage. That will be on next weeks menu as I have some sausage in the freezer. We will be having rice with the orange chicken and I only have rice, potatoes or pasta once a week. So no pasta for a couple of weeks unless we go out.
