Little girl exercise

Saturday, September 07, 2019

Several people have asked how I lost over 50 pounds. Well I was the wrong side of 200 pounds by more then a few pounds and was playing around with losing weight and it wasn't going so good.

One weekend when it was my turn to have my 6 year old grand daughter, I wanted to go to the gym, they had a very nice children's area, so we went. As we were leaving, her mother called and asked wheat the child had been doing. I told her I had worked out at the gym, but the little girl had been in the children's area, she would have to ask her. When I gave the phone to the child she told her mother. "Grandma did big people exercises and I did little girl exercises and guess what little girl exercises are fun."

I decided that is what was missing, fun. I told the child I needed to do more little girl exercises and she was my little girl exercise expert. Outside, since we were in TX that was most of the time, we played tag, rode our bikes, played in the sprinkler, walked in the nurseries. Not to buy anything, just looking at all the different kinds of plants, smelling the flower and counting the bugs. When we had to stay inside we did silly dancing, and something that looked like she had taken several regular exercises and joined them together.

Several parents sitting on the benches, just shook their heads at a 200+ pound grandma chasseing a little girl over the climbing bars, but the other children loved it. The even made up a game. I was the alligator and they were all Windy or Peter Pan. One day when I had lost weight, how much I don't know I didn't want to look at the scales till the Dr said I was below 200, I stopped to catch my breath and put my hands on my hips. One of the mothers gasped. "that shirt doesn't fit you any more, You have hips." That sure changed their tune.

So now you know I lost 50 pounds with little girl exercises. Do you have a little girl or boy that needs to come out to play.
