Too much of a "good thing?"

I have been working out five morning a week AND I walk about 15,000 steps, on average, at work. I also usually run once on the weekend. However, this week a cold got me. I usually get one around the end of October, so this one is way early. I spent the weekend just recouping and resting. I've also lost about 5 lbs. since I started at my new school.

This all gets me wondering if my workout schedule is too much of a "good thing?" I think I've run myself down and I'm not taking in enough nutrition. The problem is I love my morning workouts, so I have a bit of a dilemma.

I think I'll just keep at it in the mornings and see how I'm doing in a month. Has anyone else had such a dilemma?

    I got sick in early 2014 for the first time in nearly 20 years. I suspected I got sick because I'd been too active and activity was reduced. I've not been as active since.

    I hope you feel better soon. I usually get a sinus infection May/June and then Sept/Oct. I'm holding my breath right about now!

    Keep experimenting with that nutrition aspect till you find what works!

    Strength training I simply MUST have a rest day between sessions. Nowadays I get OK cardio even with walking, so I'm definitely "slowing down" but I shall not give up the strength training as it's so important just for quality of life moving on from here!

    I think we all run across this dilemma. I lifted weights 10 day in a row then I just couldn't do it anymore and go backwards. I now give my body a dat to heal and just do minor exercise routines. emoticon

    I had to back off of workouts everyday.... my body wasn’t liking it and wore me down physically.... mentally I was there but my body wasn’t..... I actually lost more weight when exercising less 🤔😊
