Trying this blogging thing

Hi there! I have never been a big sharer but I am stepping outside my comfort zone and giving this a try. Bare with me, it may take me a while to become a blogger that is a worthwhile read.

I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember in my 43 years of life. It's always been an issue. This past year has been a very difficult one for me. Some serious life issues along with some serious depression and anxiety, debt, changes in career paths...I was in a very dark place.

A full summer's worth of multiple-times a week therapy has me on a good path and I felt like I was finally ready to start getting serious about losing weight. So, I set some goals and now I am off. It has been a week I have been on Sparkpeople, and I think it's going ok. I know I need to be better about tracking all my food and staying within my calorie range. I am doing great on sticking to my workout plan. It's been a mixed bag, but I am looking at the past week as a win because I am still here. I haven't stopped. In fact, I feel like I am diving farther in.

I hope that by sharing my journey with all of you, I will keep on moving forward. I know it's going to be a struggle, but I think I am ready for it.

It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it.
