Day 23/ Not What I Expected!
Monday, September 09, 2019
To say today did not go the way I wanted or expected is to put it mildly. I'm still nursing a migraine, though it is much milder now.
I got up early to make sushi rice for my kids to make sushi and onigiri, they spent the whole morning making lunch and were almost late leaving to catch the bus, even with me helping them. So I took out the garbage - ODD's chore - and went to move it to the curb, it was really close but not quite. I didn't realize the lid was not up and stepped on it and fell with all of my weight on my bad leg, skinning it badly , only I didn't realize, because I was wearing my workout clothes. But I finally gave in and went to take a look propping my leg up on the bed with a huge bandage we are talking a huge scrape!! Hope comes over and starts putting her head on my head, her alert that I'm getting a migraine.
Sure enough, I go to stand up and pain shoots through my head and I get dizzy. I take my meds and lay down, she lays down on my feet (I don't know why she does this, but it is comforting) Most of the time if I'm going to be laying down for too long then I put her up, but I did not want her in another room. Soon enough she crawled her way up between me and little dog (Pickles) and put her head on my head and was nudging me and being pitiful and I figured it meant I still had the migraine, even though I was more than ready to get out of bed. Sure enough, when I moved my head, lots of pain. I messaged hubby what was going on and had to wait the alloted time to take my next med, but spent the time cuddling with my pup.
When we went back to trying to sleep some to get rid of the migraine, Hope went back to curling up on my feet. Unbeknownst to me, she must have been really anxious, she ate the edges off my weighted blanket! At least it didn't ruin anything! Once agains she crawled up beside me, but this time she crawled almost on my stomach and chest, making sure I could not get up, which I was about to. Next thing I know my alarm for getting ready for the kids to get home is going of loudly, which means it has been going off for a while, Hope has moved her butt to cover it, LOL, so I had to push her out of the way to get to my phone. She's still laying on me, and has shoved Pickles out of the way so that she could lean the rest of her body against me. I do believe I had a seizure, not only because of losing time, but because I would have heard Pickles growling at her for that and for the after feelings I'm having that are the same as when I have one.
I'm making this a shorter than usual blog so I can go curl up in bed and recuperate.
Hugs to you all and Hope your Monday went well, or at least better than mine!
