Day 1 And Scared

Saturday, September 14, 2019

What is it about the possibility of being unsuccessful that gets in our way? I mean we get knocked down and...what? When we get knocked down two things happen in reality. (1) we’ve learned something. We’ve learned that the chosen path was the wrong one. We’ve learned we’re not perfect. We’ve learned that success doesn’t come easy. That it takes actual effort and energy and thought and planning. (2) We now know we can get back up IF we choose to. And what then? Our minds get stronger. Our bodies get a little stronger. Our resolve gets stronger. We just need to do it. But I’m still scared of it.....

It all begins someplace and you just started there. Sp is the way to do it.

We want to remember it took us a few years to put our weight on and it comes off a little at a time, just like it went on. People get frustrated with it not coming off faster than we put it on. But with consistent focus on doing what we are told on SP we will hit our objective. Like many things it just wont get there overnight.

Make sure you make one of your most focused goals you water intake. Myself, when I hit plateaus its because I am not doing the water correct. I found using a reminder on my phone to be very helpful in making sure I keep on track with the water

I believe that we can talk ourselves into it or talk ourselves out of it. Here's to talking yourself into getting healthy and fit and chasing your dreams!

All we need to do is take it one day at a time, one decision at a time. Weight loss requires some thinking, just like anything we do that is worthwhile

You're right. We do just need to do it. Especially when we don't feel like it. Being scared of being unsuccessful shows me just how much you want it. Wanting is good. So is doing. You got this. It's one foot in front of the other as you continue your journey. It's making good choices for yourself and working your program. It's realizing when you've gotten in your own way and then getting out of your own way so you can continue. One of the great things about SparkPeople is that it's not one-size-fits-all. Here's to your continued success!

We have all been where you are. Some of us are still there even after years and years. You got this my dear I have no doubt.

Don't worry - progress not perfection! It helps me to think about today only - don't think about yesterday, don't think about tomorrow (until it's that time to prep for the next day). And when I don't want to do something today, I think to myself 'will doing it get me closer to my goals?', 'does not doing that get me further from my goals?'.Usually that's enough lately to keep me on track.

I know what u mean! i have been fighting that too... Define what success means to u!.. like i want to run x miles. i want to bench press x weight. i want to weight x by january 1st. Writing this made me realize i am going after the wrong things... what others think and how they should define who/what i am..
    ny list
I am stronger than i was at 40
    i have more muscle now
    I am eating healthy
    I feel energetic

hope that helps u as it has helped me!

We can do it, just taking it one day at a time. Breathe.
