My Two Day Project

Since I already had the dining room table set up with craft supplies, I decided to go ahead and do my son-in-law's Christmas ornament. He insists that if he is going to receive an ornament for Christmas, it needs to be hand made for him. We all have our own little quirks, likes and dislikes. Last year, I hand sewed and glued an ornament for him and our oldest daughter plus our two grandsons. This year that is totally out of the question. I simply don't have the dexterity to do any hand sewing and probably shouldn't do the painting either but I did.
The last time I was at the craft store, I bought a plain, little wooden, cutout ornament and some paint. I started my "mini" project yesterday. Today, I finished it. Here is the finished product.
I hope our son-in-law likes it. I sent a picture of it to my daughter and she loves it. I had to look up what a Christmas train looks like, on the internet. Most of the Christmas trains had red wheels and...oops! I had already painted the wheels black. So I decided to "wing" it! I'm pleased with my results! I find the whole creative process uplifting, relaxing and oh so wonderful!
