Week 2: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Day 15 since I joined SparkPeople and experiencing mixed feelings about my progress this week. My goals were to exercise every day, keep fat grams under 60, lose 2 pounds and 1 inch overall. I’ve exercised for 30+ minutes daily (even if only walking), stretched a few times at work and watching TV (woohooo), and even got in a few minutes meditation several times as well! In that regard, kudos to me.

THE BAD:
Didn’t prepare food for work as planned and had way too much take out this week. Struggled with keeping fat under 60g daily, and even though stayed well within my calorie count, was totally unable to stop eating sugar this week. Excuses were “you’re working out regularly ….. a cookie or two won’t hurt.” or “It’s the holiday season, you’re supposed to enjoy it!” My sleep patterns were also completely thrown outta wack working two 12-15 hour shifts back to back.

THE GOOD STUFF:
Was successful losing a combined 1.25 inches off my belly and thighs. Amazingly, I’ve also somehow lost 2% body fat!!!! Not only do I feeeeeel leaner, I can actually see the difference! Arms and thighs are slightly smaller, the booty is a tiny bit rounder, and even though weight is the basically the same, I’m feeling so much lighter on my feet, lol.

However,

THE UGLY TRUTH is:
I’m eating a cookie while I write this and fully aware I only gave about 75% effort this week. No apologies, no beating myself up and no regrets. Just a promise to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
