Reboot! For Reals!

I'm doing a 3 day reboot for my stomach pouch. I realized that I've been eyeballing my meals instead of measuring and I've been eating too much, which stretches the pouch. I'm doing my own version though, I've been craving salt, and I'm dehydrated. So I'm adding some snacks of solid food so that I won't want to cheat. And I'm going to use beef bouillon to keep me warm instead of coffee so that I'm not drinking so much caffeine. I had started drinking way too much for flavor. If I can stick to the reboot the way I'm doing it, I'll do it for longer, but I'm only committing to doing it for 3 days, so I'm not overwhelmed. So I'll have like, 3 prunes for one snack, 10 roasted and salted snap green beans for another, and I don't remember the last one but it is on my SP nutrition. Then 3 shakes per day. My last one of the day is my one that tastes like a Reese's peanut butter cup. Yum. Very filling.

I realized why my reboots have not worked in the past, I have tried to go from eating mostly solid food, to all shakes, all liquids. Just BAM, bye-bye solids. Can't do that. Especially while I'm craving salty foods and all the shakes are sweet or sweet-ish. And it is so cold right now, I'm needing hot drinks to keep me warm. So beef bouillon it is. Coffee has been my best friend. Bouillon is not my first choice, but it is easy, quick, and low calorie. There is a wonderful gem I called Delight-pho (pho is pronounced fa) only this is just a broth, and it has green tea in it for an extra kick, and is very peppery and is in a tea bag for making it however strong you want it to be (I like it very strong). I love it, just wish it were stronger, thinking about adding a bouillon to my last one and seeing it that enhances it (I got a 3 pack).

So today is Day One of my Reboot. I've started strong with having my 1st protein shake for breakfast, my cherry one with water, because I am not good at breakfast. But I need to make drinking this a habit because I need to to make sure I get enough protein in on a regular basis. One thing I have been having a problem with is getting enough fiber in, and that causes other problems. If you know of really high fiber foods that don't include grains of any kinds (have to be on low carb diet) then please let me know!! I try to get some starchy veggies in, but it is not enough with how little I eat now. I'm doing my best to make sure that this reboot is a success. From salty, crispy, roasted green beans, to prunes for sweet and to help with movements, and hot beef bouillon to keep me warm, oh and cucumber for added crunch and water!! Plus a cup of gatorade to help with dehydration, I realized that I'm really dehydrated from all the caffeine I've been drinking. Not good. So less caffeine, more water and non-caffeinated beverages, as well as one gatorade to help with electrolytes.

Well, must go, health coach should be calling soon, something insurance is making me do. Blah. Anything to keep the rates from skyrocketing I suppose!!!

    It'll be OK. You've got this. You know what to do, it's just a matter of doing it. Slowly, though, so you don't deprive yourself, and your plan sounds like it's balanced. Here's to you! :-)
