Reset my Goal and Goal Ticker!!

Sunday, December 22, 2019

I talked to my health coach (from insurance, sigh) and we set an 18 pound weight loss goal, so I reset my goal ticker today to that, though I had already updated my weight, so technically I've lost a pound since I talked to her... but since I'm making the goal ticker today, I could not bring myself to backtrack on it.

My goal is to lose 10% of my weight. Seems like a huge goal, but it can be done, and I know I'll feel better at that weight, of 170 (and so will the seams of my jeans and yoga pants!!). It's going to take a little while, and will have to be taken in mini-goals, which I already have with rewards, I'm sticking to my original goals and rewards numbers (everything is in 5 pound increments, I'll have to come up with a special little something like a haircut for the final goal of 18 pounds since it is not in the pattern). Next goal is at 183.

I've had a migraine for 5 days now. Right now it is being held in check by pain meds, but they won't last long. Nothing seems to be working on this one but cold packs and as soon as the cold pack is off, bam, head hurts again. I need to buy more cold packs that aren't so cold I can't stand to have them on my head. I have one specifically for putting over my eyes, and I love it. It brings such relief! I usually lay down with one draped across the top of my head propped on the pillow and the eye mask on. Then I have to wait for them to get cold again. I plan on just using the eye mask when I go to bed and that way when I wake up in the middle of the night I can swap it for the one I can balance on the top of my head (or prop on the pillow) until the eye mask is cold again and then go back to bed, if I'm able to. Or I should say, when I'm able to. Last night I was up for quite a while, but went back to bed, got up, migraine got really bad, went back to bed with both cold packs... cycle for the day began.

Changed my goal ticker, I thought I would make it something wintry, but there were no snowflakes, so I used a butterfly.

Well, today's blog is short, I don't want to look at the screen for too long and hurt my head more. Hope you all are ready for Christmas!!! I have one more gift to wrap, and then we have a list of last minute things to do on Christmas Eve, which has never happened to us before!!

Merry 2 days and a wake-up till Christmas!!
