Due to severe arthritis in both my hips, I had to have both my hips replaced but doctors would not do until I lost weight. I could not walk or really move without severe excruciating pain, felt like my legs were being pulled out of my hip sockets every time I moved. I was afraid to have the surgeries so I delayed doing anything. Was unable to walk for over 3 years. Finally I got into a Nutrition program and learned how to eat healthy and not think of it as a diet. That was a huge change for me. I finally got the surgeries this past March and July. I have lost to date 220 pounds ang going. If I can do it so can you. Just don't give up. Take one day at a time. Do what works for you. Every little bit helps. Start slow and change bad habits over time, 1 or 2 at a time. It can be done!!! I am proof of it and I know I will not gain the weight back. Now today I am walking again without pain and off all my pain meds. I am up to walking 3 miles a day (huge accomplishment for me).
