Smart Goals
WATER
Specific: I will drink 8-10 glasses a day
Measurable: I will use Sparks nutrition to track it
Achievable: I can drink it all day long.
Relevant: It will help me lose weight and get rid of sodium.
Time: Lifetime goal
Obstacle: Not taking the time to drink it early enough and being short.
Solution; I will drink some water with my coffee or at breakfast.

TRACKING Food
Specific: I will log my food every day.
Measurable: I will use Sparks to track my food intake.
Achievable; I can write it on paper and then record it.
Relevant: It is important that I know how many calories I take in each day.
Time; Ongoing goal
Obstacle: Being busy with other things and not taking the time to log.
Solution; I will write it all down and log after supper or as I eat.

SODIUM
Specific: I will keep track of my sodium each day/
Measurable: I can track it in on Sparks.
Achievable: I can watch what I eat.
Relevant: Keeping it in range will keep me from gaining weight.
Time; Ongoing goal
Obstacle: Choosing foods that are lower in sodium.
Solution: I will check nutrition labels on everything.

SNACKS
Specific: I will only eat 3 snacks a day unless I lose food and eat healthier ones.;
Measurable: I will track it on Sparks.
Achievable: I can choose healthier options and stay away from the kitchen.
Relevant: Keeping snacks down will help me lose weight.
Time: Ongoing goal
Obstacle: Boredom
Solution: I will find other things to do besides eat.

SWEETS
Specific: I will only eat sweets with meals.
Measurable: I can track it on Sparks
Achievable: I can choose to eat healthier.
Relevant: I will lose weight if I eat less of them.
Time: Ongong goal
Obstacle: I have a stash in my room that I grab.
Solution: I will put them in the freezer instead so they are not so tempting.

    Good goals - you mention sodium and one item under it is to eat foods that are higher in sodium - were you meaning you want to get more sodium or to eat less sodium - for me due to my weight and water retention I have to eat lower sodium.

    I like that you are setting goals for snacks. As you know I am not having snacks at all - all my food has to be eaten at meal time - and since November when I made this change I have found because I don't purchase soda, chips, candy I have been able to put that money towards frozen vegetables and I was surprised just how much I saved from not purchasing any of those foods. Makes a big different to my food bill.
