So as usual, at the end of the year I totally fell off the wagon. I’m disappointed but know that what I was doing wasn’t the right approach for me. Still 20 lbs down from my highest weight which I’ll take as a win but sad I’mnowhere near my lowest last year.
I am trying my first round of Whole30 (I’m on day 3) and hoping this might be the plan for me with the plan of continueing Paleo or Clean Eating after the 30 days. I have to find something that works for me for the long run. I need the structure. I am a rule follower by nature & if something says I can’t have sugar because it’s a rule on the plan, for some reason I have no problem doing it?! If it’s just myself saying I shouldn’t eat sugar & it’s not part of a plan with a rule it doesn’t keep me in line. Why?? Luckily, I am loving this structure because unlike something like the spark meal plans that you can turn on in your food log (which I also like) I feel like I have complete freedom to choose whatever I want on what days as long as I meet the Whole30 reqs.
I don’t know why my brain thinks this way but if this is the program that helps me figure out how to have a healthy relationship with food I’m not going to question it. Wish me luck!
