Starting Over

Sunday, January 05, 2020

I began my Spark journey well. I was eating properly, getting more exercise (though that can always use improvement) and I felt better. Then it was decided that since my life-long stomach problems had caused such damage to my teeth, they all needed to come out.
That was over a month ago. Since then I've had a lot of pain and infection, and what I can eat has been limited. My exercise ground to an abrupt halt.
Now my weight is back up, and any limber-ness I managed to achieve is completely gone - as is my ability to breathe.
I guess I'm going to try again, but without teeth, energy or motivation (except a desire to breathe).

Oh no! That sounds very painful and discouraging. :( I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm having oral sugery at the end of the month and am afraid I'll have some of these same issues! I'm doing what I can to be prepared ahead of time with nutritious foods that I'll actually be able to eat! It could take a few weeks before I'm able to bite/chew normal food. Are you going to be able to get dentures or implants so you can chew again? I can only imagine the expense... *shudder* But it would be worth it! I pray the infection will clear up quickly and your mouth will heal soon!
