I woke up this morning weighing more than I have in a long time and decided I weigh more now than I will ever weigh again. I have weighed a lot and a little but held steady the past few years at 170 plus or minus. Today I saw 185 and didn't like it much. It's gotta go.
Goals for January:
Get my "6" back, meaning weigh 160 something. I will be happy with 169.8 showing on my scale the morning of January 30. Not to be confused with my six-pack...
Get back to work. I am self-employed and work slows down after the holidays. It sometimes takes me " a while" to get back at it. This January 30, I will have done what I planned to have done mid-February. Get 'er done!
Only drink beer, or any other booze for that matter, on Fridays. I'm not a big drinker, but I do like to have a few beers in the evening. We make our own beer. It is always good and always lots of it. Easy to have just a few. They really add up. Also, when I have a few beers, my willpower heads south, and I will eat all the wrong stuff. Especially during these past weeks and weeks of holidays.
I will do my morning floor routine at least 3 times a week. I do (did) about 30 minutes on the floor of abs, stretches, weights, and flexibility. I have lost all three, abs, strength and flexibility as I get older. I will work on getting them back.
Eat properly. No flour, no sugar, no red meat and lots of fruits and veggies.
The last goal is the easy one for me. I have 2 dogs that love to walk and I love to walk with them. So I will do this one if I add it as a goal or not. One, they make me go daily. I will walk every day, weather permitting, with my dogs. I do 2 to 3 miles a day.
I have joined a group challenge, to send and receive some help along the way. I am now a proud member of the 2020 Winter 5% Shooting Stars. It will be a good 8 weeks of weight loss and fun.
There it is, my plan for January. All I have to do now is just do it!
