Soooo busy!

Wednesday, January 08, 2020

DD2 and her husband are 2 weeks from their purchase of the 1891 farmhouse. We promised to help them; all the things parents promise.
Help with purchase, help with moving, help with negotiating the ups and downs associated with a home purchase.

DD1 and her brood are gaining a service dog to help negotiate life in their household. I'm going to dog sit on Friday to ensure "Sunny" isn't alone on her first day in a new home. I'm not sure who is gaining the benefit; me, my grand kids or the parents of these hyperactive children!

DH suddenly sees my worth in the world and has been trying to compensate for years of loss of living. Sweet, but overwhelming. I'm glad he feels and sees a new purpose in life! It's a bit overwhelming!

I'm planning a few vacations for him and me to just go do things we've wanted. It's about time!

I'd rather regret the things I've done … than regret the things I haven't done. ~Lucille Ball

I have a long list of … regrets.

I get the busy bit, the jumping in and helping/doing. Your DH now gets it?! Well, amen. Tell him your favorite love language is help...like dusting, vacuuming, you name it. If it works, let me know. Lastly, why isn’t the service dog going to school? We had working dogs in my building. The children understood.

Your vacation get aways sound like just the thing. Plan, then book them...

Just when I start to think I'm busy, I read a blog and realize I'm not nearly as much so as my friends! Get enough breaks / rest in there... and ooh, looking forward to hearing about the service dog, and what specific training Sunny has!

I am not promising my son anything other than he will not have to change my Depends. In my opinion, that is more than enough. emoticon

We already raised his 11 pets and paid for their Gold Insurance plan.

Darling hubby is also enamored of me right now. I think it's because he is afraid I was ready to go postal on him. We have had a lot of dark days this Fall and my SAD does have the effect of causing me to evolve into Jack Nicholson in "The Shining" or Kath Bates in "Misery". I told him not to read so many Stephen King novels but did he listen? No. emoticon
