Getting back on track.

It's been a while since I've written anything. I'm still doing very well with keeping my cholesterol down! emoticon

Currently we're all getting through or recovering from colds. This one wiped me out! My son was sick for Christmas week, I was sick for New Year's week, and now my husband is sick this week! Can't seem to catch a break. Last week I didn't exercise at all... I just could not muster up the energy, and I had a bad cough. This week I'm feeling much better, but that cough is just sticking around. I did get my strength training done this week. I actually did some cardio today and only had one coughing spell. So I think I'm good to get back on schedule with my working out. It felt good to get moving again!

I've set my goal for this year as being lowering my blood pressure medication. So I'll be working on that. I have been trying to fit more yoga in my workouts, usually on the days I take off from the cardio. I have also been trying to fit more meditation into my days. It really does help me to feel calmer throughout the day. I have found a site that I really like called Meditation Oasis. They have over 50 meditations for all kinds of things. I listen to the Relax into Sleep (#50) one every night and I've yet to hear the end of it!

So I've got a plan. I just need to keep at it!
