I know, I know.
We cannot every really catch up on missed sleep from a place of chronic sleep deprivation.
But still . . . I feel so much more alert and present this morning after a long sleep last night reknit all my sleeves right down to the cuffs from a prior restless night**.
The snow is howling out there and a busy day coming up and I'm much more ready to take it on!!
I can hear downstairs Henry and DH have come back in with the newspaper . . . and I'm betting they're working on coffee right now!!
OK: heading down for sips and pats!!
**“Sleep that knits up the raveled sleave of care,
The death of each day's life, sore labor's bath,
Balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course,
Chief nourisher in life's feast.”
― William Shakespeare, Macbeth
(And of course you all knew that . . . isn't Google wonderful? Found it, haven't worn "sleaves" for a few centuries, however!!)
