Happy 11th Sparkaversary to me!

Yes, in 2009 I had had enough of my fat a$$ and my achy knees, etc and joined SparkPeople.
Plus, I was dangerously close to 200 lbs at 5’4!

I lurked for a few weeks, learning, learning, learning (and as a lifelong dieter I thought I knew it all) until I dove in, made a page and connected with some fabulous friends, joined some teams, tracked my food and lost almost 30 lbs in 5 months. I was so proud of me and felt great! emoticon
I stayed at that weight, 20lbs from goal, for about a year, and then...
Well, I am celebrating my union with SP so we won’t go into that other than to say I tried many ways to tweak my plan with no success and slowly about half the lbs returned.
Look how thin and happy I was!

Maybe my problem is that I am too happy and too easy on myself.
I don’t look too bad.

I continue to learn here everyday...from SP and from your blogs...thank you!
And, omg, I so appreciate that SP has kept it free all these years, don’t you?
Anyway, thanks for being my friend...I feel like we are all like penpals, and I love learning about different parts of the world or even about how different people live their day to day lives.
I am sad about the friends who disappear without a trace and wish them well, but, happily, I make new friends here regularly.

BTW,
I am finding fasting SO easy lately!
Took my first trip to the gym today in some time...it was fabulous!
20 min treadmill
20 min on the bike
30 min of strength training
5 min of stretching on the mat
Then rewarded myself with 10 minutes in the tanning booth!
Also confirmed that my gym membership now costs $0 a month thnx to my Blue Cross Medicare plan.
Plus I get a $200 a year wellness reward that reimburses me for the warm water pool I go to, which is $120 a year.
That leaves me $80 to spend on WW or a new Fitbit or something.
Isn’t that great?
I love Medicare!

And...my mild case of shingles is still here but the meds seem to be helping...hate the side effects but at least I am not in pain any more.
