Living In My Body
Monday, January 13, 2020
Yes, intuitive eating/intermittent fasting went better yesterday with a return to my basic exercise program. I feel I'm back living in my body again . . . and really, what alternative is there? Whether I acknowledge it or not?
Also got in a long walk with Henry -- the ice storm had passed, and with a fresh coating of new snow, the slipperiness was much reduced. We were wearing our golden retriever hats and encountered several other dog walkers in the forest . . . one of whom (accompanied by his snappy snarly border collie) raised an eyebrow but kept right on walking, and the other of whom, with his Australian shepherd, Fred, introduced himself and let the dogs enjoy an extended, friendly meet-and-greet: without even "noticing" the warm toasty hats!!
And: I've just completed the four sets of full push ups, sit ups, mountain climbers, squats plus yoga balance stretch stability routine this morning again.
Not inclined to eat yet . . . will continue fasting until I do.
Lunch salads and fruit are packed ready to go to work.
I'll take Henry with me, at least for the morning, and make sure he gets a recess walk!! I haven't been tracking my walking but definitely have been averaging two thirty minute walks daily with Henry whenever weather permits . . . which is most of the time!! He really loves the walks. His big exercise is definitely running full tilt in the fenced back yard, but the walks are neighbourhood explorations checking out the news . . .
OK then . . . another week about to launch. And I do feel good knowing that underneath the fresh snow in the back yard there is . . . pretty much a clean slate. That job turned out to be more challenging in the freezing rain Saturday than I'd anticipated, but I'm very glad that I got 'er done . . .
