Random thoughts, going Mediterranean and TMI for Monday

DH met the new granddog Sunny this weekend. He approves, not that that matters to DD1. She's still in love; gave the dog a bath which was not so easy. We've all decided Sunny is not pure beagle, more likely a Basset, Beagle mix. She's too long and beefy and has paws like a horse. But oh, so loving!
My cold has hit me where it hurts...my appetite. I'd stand up and cheer except when I was feeling well I cooked and packaged those new meals I've been wanting to have. Looks like a lot of things are going to get frozen.
I decided to follow a Mediterranean diet and found a 30 day plan with recipes. I modified the weekly plan since I'm cooking for one person and repeat the meals several times in a week. So far what I've cooked has been delicious and filling. I'm learning better meal portion control, just not measuring my "servings" and having too much food altogether. Snacks are also planned out. Either what I'm eating is doing the trick or I'm just plain sick and haven't wanted snacks.
TMI...My exercises must have paid off as so far when I sneeze and cough the only thing "leaking" is my nose!
I saw my urogynecologist today and she agree'd I'd done some good and improved. It changed her mind as to what she'd contemplate surgically and I qualify for a simple "nip, tuck and tweak" instead of major uplifts. But not until I want it, so WooHoo! Here's to pelvic floor exercises!
Ah, to get back to the gym. I feel like a bum as I've missed many days in the past several weeks. Lessons learned. Don't overdo because it shows in forms of anything "itis". Don't step on bolts as they make holes (healed). Try to avoid sick relatives.
Back to Pilates reformer with DD1 tomorrow and I should feel well enough for my gym work on Friday. Combine that with my newer eating habits and maybe things will happen!
