Just thought I'd write a quick update on how I'm doing. I've not been able to get in any workouts or get my steps in. Most nights I feel like I'm falling on my face asleep, but then I either can't sleep for more than an hour or two or I feel like as soon as my head hits the pillow my alarm goes off. My head aches a lot. I think if it wasn't for my sun lamp and coffee I would not wake up enough to do anything during the day.
It didn't affect me that much at first, but by the end of last week I was really feeling it. Now, I feel sick from lack of sleep. I'm trying to do everything I can to help with sleep. I don't do the sun lamp until my normal waking hours and most of the time if I wake up I'm able to go back to sleep and actually sleep, it's nights I don't wake or can't fall back asleep that I don't get rest. I got some good sleep one night over the weekend and was hoping for more of the same, but no luck. So I'm getting off the computer - and all electronics - at 8 and starting my before bed routine. I'm hoping that journaling, doing a brain dump, prayer journal, all that I normally do, but not too much, taking my time; will get me some happy Z's tonight.
I know it will take a few days to catch up on sleep and it seems like I have places to be every day this week, so I'm not going to plan any workouts this week till Saturday, and then only if I've managed to get some sleep and don't need that morning to sleep in (I work out best in the morning and have a hair appointment that afternoon, had to reschedule last week's). I was doing good, so I'm confident I'll get back in the swing of things in due time and get some
it just may take some time and tweaking my before bed routine to see what works.
