I DON'T LIKE THE SCALE

I would like to see the scale show a little more progress given the changes I have been making. Since I started in November 2018, I have drastically cut back on eating all the sweets that I love and even reduced my choices at Starbucks to all "skinny" versions. I have cut back on portions, have started drinking 8 cups of water most days of the week, exercise at least 4 or 5 times a week at the gym and have been tracking my food and exercise, blogged and posted on Spark sites. I have lost 7 pounds at this point and its been 2 months. That's less than 5 pounds per month; I thought at the beginning of starting this the scale would show a bigger loss than that. I keep fluctuating up and down a half pound lost and then regain it back. I can't dip below 220 pounds!
Okay, I admit that I am working towards making these changes in a gradual manner because I realize for them to become permanent, they must become habits. AND, I haven't been perfect. So, I keep reminding myself that slow is good and that my goal is not to attain "body beautiful." It is to attain better health as I enter into my "golden" years and to feel better about myself. I was just hoping the number on the scale would show more progress than it is by now. (*sigh*)
