Over the hump Wednesday

Wednesday, January 22, 2020

emoticon Finished a work project I started on Monday. emoticon Won’t have to do that again for another year. I’m still juggling a few others, but that’s how January is.

emoticon The pumpkin curry soup I made last night was delicious once I tweaked it a bit. No idea what kind of pumpkin was in the large can I used, but it wasn’t one of the sweeter varieties. More half and half plus seasoning salt fixed it. Today’s was one of Florida’s coldest days this winter, and I could hardly wait to get home and have two bowls for supper. YUM.

Our little old cat hasn’t been eating well for a few days, but this evening she perked up and ate both wet food and some baby food. This morning she parked herself on my lap, then snuggled on my shoulder so I could warm her tiny little cold paws. She has a favorite basket with a baby blanket in it, but she had been on the kitchen floor waiting for what little breakfast she deigned to eat. She’s amazing, all six pounds of her.

emoticon I’m going to treat myself to a tub bath and go to bed.
